About this Role?
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Regional Manager & Health, Safety & Sustainability Compliance Officer to oversee multi-site operations across the region. This role combines operational leadership with responsibility for health & safety compliance and sustainability performance, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Operations
Oversee performance of multiple sites, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and service excellence.
Lead and support site managers and supervisors to achieve KPIs and business objectives.
Drive operational performance, profitability, and continuous improvement.
Prepare and present regional performance reports to senior leadership.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and operational standards.
Team Leadership & Development
Set clear expectations, objectives, and performance standards.
Support training, development, and upskilling of teams.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
Manage resource planning, scheduling, and workload allocation.
Support employee wellbeing and engagement.
Health & Safety
Act as regional lead for health & safety compliance.
Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation and internal policies.
Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Deliver and oversee health & safety training programmes.
Sustainability
Support delivery of sustainability and ESG objectives across all sites.
Promote energy efficiency, waste reduction, and responsible resource use.
Monitor and report on environmental performance.
Embed sustainable practices into daily operations and team behaviour.
Stakeholder & Service Management
Ensure high levels of resident/customer satisfaction.
Manage escalated complaints and resolve complex issues.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
Support resident engagement initiatives and events.
Budgeting & Reporting
Support budget planning and operational cost control.
Review and ensure accuracy of operational and performance reports.
Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings, including sustainability initiatives.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in a multi-site or regional management role.
Strong knowledge of health & safety compliance and best practice.
Understanding of sustainability/ESG principles (desirable).
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in performance management and KPI delivery.
Strong organisational and problem-solving ability.
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent experience in business, operations, or related field.
Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH) highly desirable.
Full driving licence (if site travel is required).
